Connecting with the wedding and the people involved on a personal level is majorly important in creating a natural and comfortable environment! Creating a personal and fun friendship with my clients is something I take very seriously. I want you to feel comfortable with me documenting every part of your wedding day. I try to keep you laughing and carefree while trying to make sure your stress levels are as low as I can make them! All you should have to worry about on your wedding day is you and the love of your life! I'm there to make sure the images you want are captured and every piece of your day is covered from the time I get there until the time I leave!

The first step is to nail down your wedding date and venue, as without those theres no way to officially book your date on my calendar. Once you have those two things nailed down, it is time to reach out! I have my packages listed on the website but I have a Wedding Guide I designed to walk you through just about anything and everything there is to know about working with me. This guide will discuss some more about me, my terms of service, package breakdowns and package pricing, tips and tricks for wedding planning and a ton more information that was so helpful in planning my own wedding! Of course if you have any questions you are always welcome to message me and I will try and help you in any way I can.

"I cannot recommend Evergreen Photography enough. I messaged Bailey while on the hunt for a wedding photographer and we immediately clicked. She took my inspiration for the engagement pictures and ran with it! My mind is beyond blown with the outcome, she brought my vision to life and then some! I'm so excited for our big day knowing she's going to capture it. One of the most important things to us was finding someone that would capture us and our day in all its glory without much prompting and based off the engagement session, we couldn't have found someone more suitable. Bailey is one of the kindest, most thoughtful people and she will make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. She has become one of my closest friends, I think we've texted almost every day since my session!"

Lets talk about the booking process

Normally there is a 50% downpayment taken to officially book your wedding on my calendar. For those who decide they can do the 50% downpayment, I do offer $100 off each payment if made by check in the mail. Card service fees tack on and this way it saves us both some money! If the 50% downpayment is something your worried about I have had some couples who prefer to pay the full bill upfront and some who need to make a custom payment plan that works best for them and their budget! The downpayment is required but I am ALWAYS willing to make it work for you.

2. THE DOWNPAYMENT
1.PICK YOUR PACKAGE

Every package includes the same basic services but price will vary based on the hours of coverage. Of course there are add-ons for a second shooter, additional coverage, an extra USB drive or some other services to customize your coverage on your day.

Once the downpayment is made I will take some more information and get the paperwork side of things sent your way. Being sent your way would be the wedding contract, initial questionnaire and the invoice itself. All of these documents can be completed electronically and are pretty user friendly, so trust me, there is nothing to sweat.

3. PAPERWORK TIME

Now time for your engagement session! All of my packages include a complimentary engagement session. These sessions are a way for both of us to get to know each other better and a great way for you to see what it's like to be in front of my camera. Easy to say it's a ton of laughing, making jokes and getting to know each other! Your engagement session can be completely tailored to you. This session is typically about an hour long and locations are pretty much up to you but I can always help come up with some great ideas! You have complete control on how many outfits you want to change into and how many location changes we do with in that hour, just keep in mind the more changes we do, the less time we have for pictures.

4. ENGAGEMENT SESSION

I normally ask each bride when they would like to set up their phone call to design their wedding day timeline. Some do it just after booking with me, some do it before we officially book in order to decide which package they need for coverage and some wait until the January before their wedding. This part is completely dependent on what works best for you and your sanity!

5.SET YOUR CUSTOM
TIMELINE

a couple things to think about

the details

The details of the day matter. The smallest of details make the biggest difference. I spent hours curating the perfect flower arrangement, the perfect color for the bridesmaids to wear, whether I wanted the guys to wear a traditional boutonnière or a pocket square. I obsessed over every detail of the day because the smallest of things can make all the difference in a day I had dreamed about my entire life.

The importance of those little things create such a broad and beautiful moment you want photographed for all time. It's because of those things that I add a complimentary hour to your timeline for me to work on the detail photos. I don't want you to have to take an hour from the day you paid for so I don't feel rushed when I work on laying out those beautiful little details or take pictures that show all the variation in the bridesmaids dresses you selected. Not all photographers care about those simple little things but it's something that matters a great deal to me!

years of experience

willingness to help

I have never judged or felt hurt if someone finds a photographer whos style they love for cheaper. Every couple has that perfect picture in their head and the perfect photographer to capture the day exactly as they have envisioned. Everyone deserves to have that perfect picture come true. But please don't forget to take into consideration one thing you can't see from their portfolio.... their experience level.

I have been in this industry photographing weddings and working closely with couples planning their picture perfect day for over 5 years now. I know how much time it takes for 150 people to get through a buffet line versus being individually plated. I understand the flow that works best when trying to crack through every variation of family photos you could have possibly dreamed of. I know the stress about who takes the rings and what do you do when makeup is running an hour behind or one of the groomsmen got a flat tire and we need to rework an entire schedule the day of. I expect to use at least one extra set of batteries per 10 hour wedding day but I always bring 4 spares to be safe. I know to respect the church and ask the church leaders if they have any guidelines for what the photographer can take a picture of and how close I am allowed to go towards the alter.

The people and the places you've chosen matter and the way to make sure that vision becomes a reality matters and that requires experience to know what works and what doesn't. If I'm not the photographer for you I will never judge you for it, but please make sure you ask the photographer you choose what kind of experience they have and why they think it matters.

The best photographers understand that our job isn't so simple. The title photographer comes with a lot of added jobs and job titles. If the time allows and it will take stress of the bride or groom, I am willing to try or do just about anything.

I've taken the party dress in my car because I knew they were scared to put it in the trunk of the maid-of-honors car when thats the only place they had the room for it. I bustle 80% of the wedding dresses I see so they don't get stressed out with their mom or maid-of-honor trying to remember how to do it or where to find the hidden strings and buttons. I will sit on my hands and knees using tide sticks and white chalk to get out a stain someone left in the center of your dress. I know how to pin on a boutonniere for all the groomsmen when someone forgot to line up another person for that little task and I know I can do it faster than the random uncle who tries to help.  I've helped organize and set out custom wedding favors or passed out the end of the night cards to different vendors. Stayed an extra 20 minutes so I could capture the "power hour dance" the DJ says is her favorite part of the night. I mean I've literally swung through a McDonalds for a bride who was craving a chicken sandwich and just needed something different than the normal getting ready snacks.

Not every photographer is willing to do more than just capture the wedding day their way, but you deserve someone who would go above and beyond to make sure your day runs as smoothly as possible!
